Amusa Gbadamoshi: The First African "Pele"
Amusa Gbadamoshi, the first “African Pele” is a retired Ghanaian football legend. The first Ghanaian football player to be flown all alone from Ghana to Tunisia in 1965 to join the Black Stars play in the African Cup of Nations.
Amusa Gbadamoshi was a gifted player, a good dribbler, a good shooter, and a playmaker. He started his career in Tamale, went ahead to play for the Real Republicans, Accra Hearts of Oak, Kumasi Asante Kotoko, and the Ghana Black Stars.
